Join us for our Spring into Parkdale’ Sidewalk Festival and Night Market! 
The 6th annual outdoor street festival features a sidewalk sale with over 100 vendors, live entertainment and FREE family-friendly activities. Take part in the 1.4km sidewalk sale, visit 5+ markets including the 10,000 sqft outdoor Foodora Night Market showcasing Parkdale’s eclectic food and chefs, a 10,000 sqft Kids Zone and the Zero Waste Fair!

WHEN IS THE FESTIVAL?
The Sidewalk Festival takes place on Saturday May 12th, 2018 from 11:00am-6:00pm, and the Night Market attraction at the Festival takes place 4:00pm-9:00pm.

WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL?
The Sidewalk Festival takes place along Queen Street West from Roncesvalles Ave to Dufferin St, and includes two side road closures at Cowan Ave and Callender St, as well as 2-3 Green P Parking lot closures. The Festival includes up to 11 designated ‘Zones’ with added attractions. (We do not close off Queen Street West)

WHO COMES TO THE FESTIVAL?
54% of Festival attendees come with their families / 70% of attendees are from Parkdale, Roncesvalles or Brockton / 38% are from 36-45 years of age / 62% say they came for the outdoor Festival atmosphere & music / 40% said they came to eat local / 68% spent up to $50.

ATTRACTIONS

THE Foodora NIGHT MARKET
The Foodora Night Market (4pm-9pm) is a 10,000 sqft outdoor Food Market, & includes food vendors, DJ, patio seating & more! From $5 to $12 enjoy cuisine from around the world and most importantly from Parkdale Chefs, from glorious doughnuts, Filipino BBQ, to Tibetan & Japanese cuisine, patio seating and tunes by DJ Sparkdale!. Entry to the market is free, food can be purchased from each vendor. *Receive a $10 Foodora Voucher with your purchase (*first time Foodora customers) and don’t forget to fill out a Ballot & win $200 towards your favorite Parkdale Restaurant!. (Green P lot @ 1325 Queen St W).

THE KIDS ZONE  
The Kids Zone is brought to you by The Boulevard Club and is a 10,000 sqft free outdoor family play area located at Callender Ave featuring free crafts, facepainting, a photo booth, musical entertainment, DJ Fluffy Souffle, a Pirate Ship, Skateboarding, Tennis & More!. Stay tuned for exciting announcements about more Kids Zone attractions! (Parking lot: 1624 Queen St W @ Callender)

THE COMMUNITY ZONE  
The Community Zone is brought to you by Adam Helps and is a 5,000 sqft road closure located at Cowan Ave and features local groups and agencies doing incredible work within the Parkdale Community – come & support a cause! (1313 Queen St W @ Cowan).

THE CYCLING ZONE
Visit the Cycling Zone where you can get a free bike tune up and learn more about local cycling advocacy groups and projects. (1624 Queen St W @ Callender).

THE PARKDALE FLEA MARKET
Visit this special edition of the Parkdale Flea Market, bringing together some of the best and most unique vendors and products from antiques, vintage, collectables, local artisans and designers. This bigger then ever Flea starts at the Dufferin Amphitheatre and weaves all the way down Noble Street (1266 Queen St W @ Noble).

THE LITTLE TIBET MARKET   
New this year; the Little Tibet Market hosted by Students for a Free Tibet Canada features Tibetan arts & crafts, vendors, music, poetry a fashion show & more! (1447 Queen St. W @ Jameson)

THE ZERO WASTE FAIR
New this year; the Zero Waste Fair hosted by Zero Waste Hub Toronto features repair, reuse, recyclers, DIY interactive activity stations, waste/eco educators / activists, and an interactive plastic litter/waste art installation. Vendors will be located around the Parkdale Library, Cowan Avenue and Masaryk-Cowan Park. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

HOW CAN BIA MEMBERS PARTICIPATE?
If you are a BIA Member selling Food in front of your Cafe/ Restaurant OR want to sell Food in our 10,000 sqft Night Market, you must first submit an Application. We will contact you with next steps. If you are a BIA Member selling goods, promoting your services or hosting a craft in front of your store or you need us to relocate you to another area, you must notify us about your participation via [email protected] If you are participating with in store deals, don’t forget to tell us too!

HOW CAN MUSICIANS OR ENTERTAINERS PARTICIPATE?

IS THERE A FEE TO PARTICIPATE?
There is a $15 rental fee for any Festival participants requiring a table or tent. Quantities are limited, you must indicate your need when contacting us, rental is not guaranteed. There is a $75 fee for all Night Market participants. There may be additional costs if you are a vendor participating in one of the other Markets such as the Parkdale Flea, please contact them directly.
