As a member of the Parkdale Village BIA (Business Improvement Area), you are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting: Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.(Registration starts at 6:30 p.m.) St John’s Polish National Catholic Cathedral, 186 Cowan Ave (basement hall).

It’s Free! Enjoy snacks and meet other business owners, Board Members, staff, City officials and residents. This meeting is also open to residents, visitors and media.

August Newsletter: Graffiti, Planters, Instagram & Back to School

Our August Newsletter is out and covers items such as:

  • Hooray for 80 New Planters which were recently installed along Queen Street west, if you notice any damages or vandalism please contact our office or 311
  • A reminder that the Parkdale Village BIA funds the removal of Graffiti tagging on your property, within certain guidelines & parameters. We are working to revise and upgrade the service for 2016, however until then please contact our office should you have any questions or have received a warning/ticket from a Bylaw officer.

  • If you are interested in having a Mural painted along your wall please let us know. Our BIA is exploring Mural funding for 2016/2017, however, we work closely with Artists who are always looking for a way to display their work in public spaces. Murals are a great way to fight Graffiti tagging as well as help animate the Streetscape.

Annual General Meeting: Parkdale Village BIA

Parkdale Village Business Improvement Area (BIA)

As a member of the Parkdale Village BIA, you are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting: Monday, November 10, 2014, 7:00 p.m. (Registration starts at 6:30 p.m.) Saint John’s Polish National Catholic Church @ 186 Cowan Ave.

The purpose of this meeting is to approve the Parkdale Village Business Improvement Area’s (BIA) budget and general program for 2015 and elect a board of management for the 2015- 2018 term.  This program is paid for by a special levy charged to you as well as other commercial/industrial property owners and businesses in the BIA.

Should you be interested in joining the Parkdale Village BIA Board of Management for the 2015-2018 term please contact Andrea Switzer, BIA Project Manager for a Nomination Form, by phone at 416-536-6918, or by e-mail at [email protected].

Proof of membership will be required.  Please bring photo ID and either a business card, utility bill showing business name and address, or your City of Toronto property tax bill.

If you are unable to attend and wish to appoint a person to vote on your behalf, please complete a Designate Form which will be mailed to you with the notice.  Please note that no person in attendance shall have more than one vote.

The AGM is an opportunity to participate in the decisions that your BIA is making on your behalf. We look forward to you attending the meeting to learn more about the improvements being made within your business area!

The purpose of this meeting is to decide on the BIA Budget for 2014 and general program. This program is paid for by a special levy charged to you as well as other commercial/industrial property owners and businesses in the BIA. The best way to participate in the decisions which your BIA is making on your behalf is to get involved. A detailed copy of the notice has been mailed to property owners and tenants.
